Corporate Credit Trainer, GICP & Fitch Learning

Elena is a specialist corporate credit trainer in our faculty, with over a decade of financial services industry experience working in credit analysis, credit ratings, accounting and audit. Elena’s expertise in corporate credit analysis and ratings provides a solid foundation for instructing on various related topics, such as financial statement analysis, business plan evaluation, credit risk assessment, and the integration of ESG factors into credit ratings. Elena brings solid industry experience to Fitch Learning, previously serving as Vice President of the Rating Committee at ION Group – Cerved Rating Agency, evaluating the creditworthiness of corporate clients and large groups.


Catherine Bealin

Financial Trainer

Catherine is a multi-disciplinary finance professional with
over 25 years of experience, specializing in corporate and bank credit analysis, as well as climate risk and sustainable finance. Catherine has worked for global organizations including Brown Brothers Harriman, the European Investment Bank and the United Nations Development Programme. She holds a BA in Political Science and Economics, and an MA in International Economic Development. Catherine is currently pursuing a Masters Certificate in Corporate Sustainability from the Harvard Extension School.

Director, Global Institute of Credit Professionals

John is Business Development Director for the GICP. He started his career in executive search, working with some of the most prominent buy and sell-side institutions, before joining Debtwire, where he managed a global portfolio of clients. John holds a BA in philosophy from the University of Nottingham.
